On my way to a meeting where
We will talk about our
Experience strength and hope
Because we all carry a disease that is
Cunning baffling and powerful

I remember a red bean bag chair
From years ago, and wish
I had a red bean bag chair now
Though at my age it may not be
As comfortable as when I was fourteen
That red bean bag chair
Thinking about it driving to a meeting
One good thing, not glazed with rain
Nothing depending on it
But one good thing
Which is to say
I have learned all I can
Or care to
From pain and its companions
Now I would like to
Learn from joy
Just
Learn from joy
And not
Be so surprised
By it
