A young woman, a teen, high school senior
Perhaps, in a tall chair at a
Table, Starbucks by the river
Dancing her arms as
Her young man walks over
With coffee and a pastry
Smile across her face
And its cliché really, not her
But what I think
To be young again
With all that hope
With that young love
Where everything
Is perfect and going to get
More perfect
Watching her pull out the chair
Sit down
Dance in that seat and smile
As he brings a coffee
And a pastry
With the whole world
