There was an eagle
Maybe more than one
Or just one, seen
In two places,not that distant
Not that far from each other
In time or space
A eagle, or two, or just one
By a river frozen or almost
Frozen, frozen in places
Not so frozen I would walk but
Someone had, their trail out and back
Thankfully for them, and their people
Anyway, there was an eagle, or two
Not sure, since I lost track of the first
It was behind me then in front
Of me, once flying and landing
Once already alit
Not a giant eagle or even
Very large, just an eagle
By the river
