I got plants
Seven or eight of them
Mostly alive though
One or two of them are challenged
A lava lamp, red
That I turn on
Three candles I light
A shrine to the buddha
A 1970s quadraphonic receiver
With a turntable
Some records, mostly unscratched
A television with an MLB subscritption
A kitchen table that’s mostly desk
A few books, pens notebooks
Cast iron pans and a cast iron
Dutch oven, one knife
Goodwill plates bowls and silver
A place to lay my head
A secondhand leather couch
An accidentally matching gifted chair
Some lamps to light the night
A cushion for zazen
A closet of clothes
With shoes and hiking boots
Sleeping bag and hammock
A car that moves
A place to shower
A room to cook
Sometimes I think it’s less
Than what it was
But listing it out
It’s more than enough
More than enough
To be grateful for
In this provisional world
Where what we lack
So often overpowers
What we havePWS 20230417
